Evergreen Missions affirms the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and expressed in the great creeds of the Christian Church. We believe:

• The Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God and is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and practice.

• God is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

• Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, willingly gave Himself on the cross for the sins of humanity, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory.

• Humanity is created in the image of God, and every person possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth. Because of sin, all humanity is separated from God and in need of reconciliation through Jesus Christ.

• Relationship with God — We believe God's intent in creating humanity was for relationship with Him. Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, the way to God is made accessible to every person. Through Christ, we can be reconciled to God, know Him personally, walk in relationship with Him, and live in fellowship with our Creator.

• Salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned through human effort or good works. At the same time, we believe that genuine faith produces the fruit of a transformed life—expressed in love, obedience, and good works as a response to God's grace.

• The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, bringing transformation into the likeness of Christ and empowering believers to live faithfully, serve others, and participate in the mission of God.

• The Church is the Body of Christ, made up of believers from every nation, tribe, people, and language. The Church is called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, love and serve others, and represent Christ in the world.

• The Mission of God is to make His glory known among all peoples. We believe Jesus has called His Church to make disciples of all nations and that every people, tribe, and language is invited to know, worship, and glorify Him.

• The Return of Christ is certain. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal life of those who belong to Christ.

 

Our desire is to see Jesus Christ glorified among every people, tribe, and language, and to participate in His work of bringing people into relationship with Him and into the worship of God.
