The Cry of the Unreached: They Are Already Seeking… Who Will Go?

There is a cry rising from the nations today—a cry not often heard by the world, but clearly heard in heaven. It is the cry of men and women in unreached people groups who are seeking light, truth, and peace. Some kneel on woven mats, whispering prayers they hope will reach the heavens. Some walk into quiet forests, longing for a sign. Some stare at the sky, wondering who the true Creator is.

Many of them have never met a Christian. Many have never heard the name of Jesus. Yet their hearts are longing—desperate—to know the truth. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” God hears every seeker. But the question is: Will we go so they can find Him?

A Testimony That Broke My Heart—and Changed My Lens

I once attended a gathering where I heard a testimony that stirred something deep within me.

A former Imam—a respected spiritual leader—shared how for years he prayed, “Tuhan (God), give me true light. Give me true peace.” His religion taught about light, but he confessed he had never truly known it. He taught peace, but he had never actually felt it. And he begged God for answers.

Then one day, a missionary showed up—someone who simply obeyed God’s call. That missionary shared about Isa Al Masih (Jesus)—that He is the Light he had been searching for, and that through His sacrifice, we now have peace with God. In that moment, the Imam realized that what he had been longing for was not an idea… Not an experience… Not a philosophy… But a Person.

He needed Jesus.

And right there, he gave his life to Christ.

Today, not only is he a follower of Jesus—his whole family is saved, and he is now passionately sharing the Gospel with his tribe, no matter the cost.

As I listened, tears streamed down my face.

One question pierced my heart:

“What if no one went?”

Across the 10/40 Window… the Cry is Already Rising

Across the 10/40 Window, and even in many parts of the Philippines, people are crying out for God. They do not know His Name. They do not have His Word. But the Spirit is drawing their hearts. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful…”—right now, in real time—“…but the laborers are few.”

The cry of the unreached is not a future cry. It is a present one.

They are already praying. God is already moving. The harvest is already ripe.

But heaven is waiting for one more thing:

Will the Church go? Will we answer the cry?

Your Yes Can Change Someone’s Eternity

A missionary’s obedience was the answer to one Imam’s prayer. Your obedience may be the answer to someone else’s.

Your YES can place a Bible in the hands of a seeker, send a missionary to a tribe praying for truth, equip indigenous believers to reach their own people, help mobilize more workers for cross-cultural missions, and support the Great Commission in regions where the gospel has never been heard.

The cry of the unreached has reached heaven.
